This was not it.
Even though I thought so.
You promised a change,
I’m gonna make one now.
I wasn’t ready for this.
Even though I said so,
Even though I promised.
I ain’t gonna make no,
empty clauses no more.
Why, oh why did it have to go like this?
Been told all things have a reason.
I guess you had one too, miss.
I wasn’t ready for this.
Even though I said so,
Even though I promised.
I ain’t gonna make no,
empty clauses no more.
No I wont lie no more, no more.
Even though I said so,
Even though I promised.
I ain’t gonna make no,
empty clauses no more.

Drifter

Like a rambling river,
You flooded my life.
I had a stone in my chest,
but You broke it with water.
Wandering all lost,
selfishly.
Collapsing like a timber cut down.
You came and built me up.
So I can walk again.
You came and tore the veil.
So I can see again.
Steering my boat,
through the trembling seas.
Drifting like a castaway,
not seeing the horizon.
I started sinking down,
to the bottom of the sea.
But You grabbed my hand,
and pulled me back to the surface.
You came and built me up.
So I can walk again.
You came and tore the veil.
So I can see again.

Hell Of A Sinner

I thought I could rule it all.
I thought I had the power,
in my palm.
I thought I was right,
but you proved me wrong.
And I thought I could save myself,
but you proved me all wrong.
Stone in my hand,
what should I do,
throw it or drop it?
I realized I can’t,
no I can’t throw it.
Since I’m a sinner
and hell of a one.
I wandered and wandered.
I’m finally lost.
My compass was broken,
I couldn’t find my way back home.
I fell, fell, fell,
deep to the rockbottom.
But You came there
and showed me the way back home.
Stone in my hand,
what should I do,
throw it or drop it?
I realized I can’t,
no I can’t throw it.
Since I’m a sinner
and hell of a one.
I had a stone in my hand,
didn’t quite know what to do.
And I thought I could rule it all.
But You proved me wrong,
You proved me wrong.
Stone in my hand,
what should I do,
throw it or drop it?
I realized I can’t,
no I can’t throw it.
Since I’m a sinner
and hell of a one.
